Peter Sejersen

Peter Sejersen is the technical manager of TEPPFA. He is responsible for the many of the projects that the European Plastic Pipe and Fitting Association is running together with the member companies and external research institutes. The projects are related to technical as well as the environmental performance of plastic pipe systems. Furthermore, a number of the projects aims directly on the use of recycled materials in pipe systems.

The assignments include supporting the TEPPFA Chair of Working Group Certification and Standardisation, and next to be the TEPPFA liaison in CEN/TC 155 he is also convenor in WG 27 and project leader in WG 25.

Peter has an extensive career in the plastic pipe business, the later years working for Wavin as overall responsible for the 8 manufacturing sites in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland, including QA, HSE and standardization. Before the assignment in manufacturing Peter had positions in product management and standardisation.

Next to the duties in the pipe industry Peter has been active in the – at times very intensive – public and political discussion around the environmental issues of plastics.

For 8 years Peter was chair of the PVC recycling initiative in Denmark for which the Danish industry Federation awarded him for his commitment and efforts.

Peter is a Danish citizen and holds a master’s degree in engineering.
