André Nijland is Manager Global Technology Licensing at Wavin Technology & Innovation and responsible for Global Product Management Water & Gas with a focus on PVC-O technology and product-ranges. Prior to joining Wavin T&I he worked for Wavin Overseas B.V., as an international sales manager with a focus on  licensing, transfer of know-how, cooperating with machinery & equipment suppliers, research centers, and consultants.

He has been instrumental in turn-key sales of pipe extrusion and fitting molding factories, business development and setting up overseas distribution channels in business-to-business markets.  André participated in TEPPFA technical committees and presented papers at several plastic pipe conferences. His career in the plastics pipe industry spans 25 years. In previous positions he was responsible for commissioning power plants around the globe and acted as marine superintendent for large seagoing vessels like tankers, pipelaying- and cruise vessels. He served as an army officer and holds a MSc in Mechanical Engineering. André is a Dutch citizen.
