Full Program Released

Ozpipe 2024 full program is now available! 30 papers will be presented by experts from Australia and globally across 2 full days – covering topics including:

  • Global Sustainability Insights – discussions on core strategies towards carbon neutrality including insights from China and Europe.
  • The Environment and Water Security – topics including Microplastics, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and water main break studies.
  • Design – Methods on large diameter structured wall pipes, flexible buried pipes comparisons using finite element analysis and Standards.
  • Innovation – Long term performance of materials, manufacturing and installation.
  • Hydrogen – Effects of hydrogen on plastic pipes
  • Recycling –Improving mechanical recycling, advancements of recycling and integrating recycled content into plastic pipes.
  • Case Studies – A wide array of case studies focuses on large diameter, thick wall PE pipes, welding, and effects of elevated temperatures of PE pipe under highway loadings.

Ozpipe 2024 Sustainable Infrastructure – the future is now!

SUCCESS FOR 7TH CHINA PLASTIC PIPE CONFERENCE

At the 7th International China Plastic Pipe Conference in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, Zoran Davidovski, Chair of the PPCA Organizing Committee, underscored China’s growing dominance in the plastic pipe industry. He emphasized how technical innovation is reshaping international trade, steering it toward more sustainable, high-value pipe systems. Davidovski also highlighted the significant advancements in plastic pipe technologies since the last conference five years ago.

Chairman Wang Zhanjie of China Plastics Processing Industry Association (CPPIA) commended the event’s 16-year history, noting its pivotal role in
fostering international collaboration and driving the global growth of China’s plastic pipe industry.

The conference, a spin-off from the PPXXI event, attracted over 340 delegates from across the globe, representing various sectors such as plastic pipe
manufacturing, raw materials, construction, and research. Attendees benefited from 25 presentations covering topics like raw materials, manufacturing, design, installation, and sustainability, with 17 companies showcasing their innovations in the exhibition area.

The event was supported by industry associations such as PE100+, PPI, TEPPFA, and key Chinese companies.
